Internship Programme

The itim International Internship Programme has been designed to bring highly qualified and motivated students with diverse backgrounds into the organisation to work on projects linked to Intercultural Management and Organisational Culture. Its main goal is to give successful candidates an opportunity to improve their analytical skills, as well as the experience of working in a truly international environment. The internship is a full-time engagement (40 hours/week) that lasts for 6 months. It is offered on a biannual basis – the Fall programme (from mid-August to December) and the Spring programme (from mid-January to July). All applicants should have international experience from living abroad.

Besides the ongoing project work, each intern is given the opportunity to manage one project supported by the team. The project needs to be completed by the end of the internship. The exact nature of the project is determined depending on the background, interest of the intern and the current needs of itim.

Application Deadline for Spring program: March 15th

Application Deadline for Winter program: October 15th

We offer two different internship programmes:

For this programme, the applicant must be fully proficient in English, with particular emphasis on writing and communication skills.  The intern will support the marketing and communication team in working with website updates, proofreading and editing, developing marketing materials, and contributing on current projects.

If you are interested in applying, please send your CV and a letter of motivation to recruitment@itim.org.

This intern will have more all-round responsibilities, working with content development, research, and operational matters, in addition to providing support for our internal consultant network and dealing with external information requests. By working across teams, the intern will have very diverse types of tasks, which demands structure, flexibility and creativity.

If you are interested in applying, please send your CV and a letter of motivation to recruitment@itim.org.

The internship at itim International has given me the opportunity to work on different visual tasks related to cultural tools. The experience has been very enriching and it is a great chance to work with people from many different international backgrounds.
Pilvi - Graphic designer
Being an intern at itim International., I was given diverse and challenging tasks with the freedom to solve them as I saw fit, which allowed me to utilize my academic background and personal strengths. My coworkers provided an including environment, where no questions were considered dumb and new ideas were highly encouraged.
Vilde - Intern Extraordinaire
I was positively surprised by the variety of projects I could take part in. Besides assisting professionals in marketing and customer support, I got the opportunity to give feedback, form customer feedback into development ideas, and to learn. I could truly practise the skills that I learnt when taking my bachelor’s degree at the University of Applied Sciences.
Elli - Customer support
As an intern with itim I was given opportunities that most interns can only dream off. I got to meet the amazing people of the itim network each smarter than the other. I had in-depth discussion on culture at coffee break and participated in some amazing projects (android app creation, major website updates, branding, creation of new lines of products…). Overall a great experience.
